41. Going all in, with Michelle Boyd

We can reach a point in our career where money is suddenly not the biggest driver or marker of success.  My guest this week has taken the plunge to leave a secure HR career and go ALL IN on her dream business, and she shares all the ups and downs that come with a decision like that with a hubby and kids to consider…

Michelle is an Authorised Marriage Celebrant at Love Michelle Boyd, who doesn’t do things by halves!  She started her business in the wedding industry in what can only be described as the worst timing ever – AKA – COVID; but has pushed through the emotional and financial ups and downs to go all in on something she loves.

Her corporate background is in HR, and Michelle also settles her creative urges through public speaking and community theatre.  She's a self-professed dreamer and pinches herself with how lucky she is, making a living from sharing her gift of the gab and being there to share the special moments in the lives of her clients.

A mother of 4 young adult children, and step mum to another, plus 3 grandkids, her life is full and interesting, and she wouldn't have it any other way!
