Episode 7
Ep7: Ashley Hughes: Comfortable being uncomfortable
When we have been doing something for so long, we only need to put 20% effort into achieving it, it could be a sign it’s time for a new challenge; but starting something new can leave us feeling like an imposter. We discuss this and more in this week’s episode.
It doesn’t matter who we are and what we’ve done, when we are put in a position of doing something for the first time, we can feel like an imposter. It is how we choose to handle these moments that will ultimately make or break us.
In this episode Ash share’s his real-life experiences of feeling like an imposter and how he has managed to combat it. We also talk about taking control of our time and that even with the high demands of an intense full time role, we still have the capacity to make time for what is important.
Ash is a human performance coach, organisational development consultant and the co-founder of Quintessential Performance; a boutique human performance consulting company. During his time in the UK military, he found his passion for peak performance and developing peak performing individuals and teams. It was this passion, and the need to scratch his entrepreneurial itch, that led to the creation of Quintessential Performance. He is a husband to an amazing wife, father to an intelligent young lady, who are his inspiration in all that he does. He has also tamed 5 chihuahua's who are now very much part of his family.
