Ep 34: What matters most, with Kylie Daly

No one has a clearer idea of what matters most in business than my guest this week Kylie Daly.  Kylie and her husband Darren own Lightbox Imageworks; a commercial photography business based in Wagga Wagga, NSW and it is fair to say, they have been more than their share of shit over the last few years!

 

In this very raw and honest conversation, Kylie shares her story of losing their business, their house, their livelihood and very nearly their daughter as well; and talks of the lessons she has taken from that time and how that has shaped her into the business women, mother and leader she is today.

 

When asked what advice she would give her teenaged self, Kylie responds with “bad things happen” …not to focus on the doom and gloom, but to normalise the fact that I talk about all the time – SHIT HAPPENS!!  It’s how we choose to respond to it that will make or break our success.
